Soul of Pride is proud to present the Urban Global Village Stage
Come enjoy our free outdoor hip-hop dance party in the Castro showcasing DJs and artists from Black and Brown communities. The Urban Global Village stage is a welcoming and affirming space for Black / African – Americans and people of color in The Castro. We showcase the racial/ethnic diversity of the LGBT community and empower communities of color through music.
The Urban Global Village stage is independently produced by a small, dedicated, LGBT Black-n-Brown production team and the efforts of community volunteers.

Ma’at Program
The Black Mental Health Revolution is happening now!
The Ma’at Program is a supportive holistic therapeutic community, in which we center and work with Black/African American families in San Francisco.
Ma’at uses a whole-person approach to provide Afri-centric, culturally responsive, heartfelt, behavioral health care. We provide effective treatment to increase equity of access at no cost to clients.
Our History
Through music and live performances, the Soul of Pride Urban Global Village stage provides a welcoming and affirming space for Black/African Americans and People of Color during San Francisco’s Pride Celebration. Showcasing the racial and ethnic diversity of the LGBT community, the Soul of Pride Urban Global Village Stage features music from Black and Brown communities spanning from Asia to Latin America.
From 2009 through 2018, San Francisco’s Pride Celebration included Pink Saturday, one of the largest LGBT nighttime civic event in the western United States, attracting nearly 100,000 people. From 2009 through circa 2018, The Global Village stage was one of four performance stages at Pink Saturday. With the community’s decision to not move forward with Pink Saturday, the Global Village stage was integrated into the San Francisco Pride Civic Center festival site, sharing a stage with the Soul Of Pride African Diaspora Stage.
